Volkswagen Group Extends Cultural Partnership with Berlin Museums to Expand Access and Engagement Through Art4All Initiative

Central to this partnership is the ‘Volkswagen Group Art4All’ initiative, which attracted over 400,000 visitors in 2025 by offering free or discounted access to exhibitions, guided tours, and educational programs. The initiative will introduce a new format at the Neue Nationalgalerie, featuring monthly free admission evenings alongside live performances and discussions, beginning with a concert by David Kadouch. At Hamburger Bahnhof, Volkswagen will continue to support educational programming and public engagement, including Open House Days. (PRESS RELEASE) WOLFSBURG, 24-Mar-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Volkswagen Group has renewed its long-standing partnerships with Berlin’s Neue Nationalgalerie and Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart, extending its collaboration with the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz for an additional two years. The continued alliance builds on a relationship that began in 2012 and remains focused on supporting major exhibitions while expanding access to art through the ‘Volkswagen Group Art4All’ initiative.

The Art4All program has become a central pillar of the partnership, offering a wide range of accessible cultural experiences, including free or reduced admission, complimentary guided tours, educational activities, and live events. In 2025 alone, the initiative attracted more than 400,000 visitors, reflecting growing public engagement and reinforcing the shared ambition of making art and culture accessible to a broader audience.

Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin

At the Neue Nationalgalerie, the initiative is being refreshed with a new format starting April 2. On the first Thursday of each month, visitors will be granted free access to exhibitions between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., complemented by a diverse program of live artistic performances and interactive discussions. The launch event will feature a free concert by French pianist David Kadouch, who will perform works by Erik Satie, coinciding with a major exhibition dedicated to Constantin Brancusi, highlighting the historical connection between the two artists.

At Hamburger Bahnhof, Volkswagen Group will continue its role as Lead Partner of Education, supporting a wide spectrum of educational and public engagement programs. These include free initiatives designed for general audiences as well as tailored activities for families and schools. The company will also participate as a program partner during the museum’s Open House Days in June, further strengthening community outreach.

The partnership also includes continued support for emerging cultural professionals through the Volkswagen Group Fellowship and Curator programs. In 2026 and 2027, selected fellows and curators will be integrated into the museum teams, contributing to their work while gaining valuable professional experience.

Leaders from both institutions highlighted the importance of the collaboration in sustaining cultural accessibility and fostering social cohesion. The initiative is seen as a key contributor to expanding audiences and lowering barriers to engagement, particularly during a time when funding for the arts is under increasing pressure.
