Vestas Appoints Jakob Wegge-Larsen as New CFO, Set to Join in 2025

(IN BRIEF) Vestas has appointed Jakob Wegge-Larsen as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with his start date set for the second quarter of 2025. Wegge-Larsen brings significant experience from his current role as CFO at DB Schenker, as well as past CFO positions with Maersk Group, Hamburg Süd, and MSC Denmark. (PRESS RELEASE) Aarhus, 15-Jan-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Vestas has announced that Jakob Wegge-Larsen will take on the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and join the company’s Executive Management team. He is expected to assume his new position in the second quarter of 2025.

Currently CFO and a member of the Management Board at DB Schenker, Jakob brings a wealth of experience from prominent global companies. Prior to his role at DB Schenker, he held various regional and global CFO positions within the Maersk Group, Hamburg Süd, and MSC Denmark, amassing extensive international expertise.

Henrik Andersen, Vestas President and CEO, expressed his enthusiasm about Jakob’s appointment, stating, “I’m excited that Jakob will be joining Vestas as our next CFO after an extensive selection process. Jakob Wegge-Larsen, 48, holds an MBA from Henley Business School in the UK and resides in Denmark with his wife and two children. He succeeds Hans Martin Smith, who left Vestas in December 2024 after more than two decades with the company, as referenced in Company Announcement no. 20/2024.
