STARK Group Expands UK Modernisation Programme with Reopened Jewson Branch in Cornwall

(IN BRIEF) STARK Group has reopened a refurbished Jewson branch in St Austell, Cornwall, as part of its strategy to modernise its UK network through its “Branch of the Future” concept. The upgraded facility offers an expanded product range, improved layout and enhanced accessibility to support tradespeople working on construction and renovation projects in a region with an ageing housing stock. Covering around 17,400 square metres, the site reinforces STARK Group’s ongoing investment in strengthening logistics, product availability and customer experience across the UK market.

(PRESS RELEASE) FREDERIKSBERG, 17-Feb-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — STARK Group has strengthened its footprint in southwest England with the reopening of a modernised Jewson branch in St Austell, Cornwall. The investment forms part of the Group’s broader strategy to develop a more efficient, future-ready branch network that better supports tradespeople across the United Kingdom.

The upgraded site reflects STARK Group’s “Branch of the Future” model, drawing on operational experience from its businesses in the Nordic region, Germany and Austria. Designed to enhance efficiency and accessibility, the branch features an expanded product offering and a reconfigured layout intended to help customers quickly locate materials while benefiting from on-site technical expertise.

The reopening represents another milestone in STARK Group’s post-acquisition development of the Jewson business, which joined the Group in March 2023. The company continues to invest in strengthening operational capabilities to support construction, renovation and maintenance activities across both new and existing housing markets in the UK.

Located in Cornwall—one of the country’s largest regions—the St Austell branch serves an area with a relatively old housing stock, where a significant proportion of homes were built before 1980 and require ongoing refurbishment. The site therefore plays an important role in ensuring that local contractors and tradespeople have reliable access to building materials and advisory services needed to maintain and upgrade properties.

Spanning approximately 17,400 square metres, the branch reopening follows recent UK investments including the launch of a major site in Luton and a new facility in Croydon, underlining STARK Group’s commitment to combining regional distribution strength with modernised local branches.
