(PRESS RELEASE) HANNOVER, 1-Apr-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — At Hannover Messe 2025, Schneider Electric is set to showcase its advancements in open, software-defined automation and digital technology innovations that are reshaping the industrial landscape. With the theme “Shaping the Future with Technology,” the company will highlight how it is empowering manufacturers with AI-enhanced solutions that improve efficiency, drive sustainability, and bolster resilience. Operating at the intersection of automation, energy management, and digitalization, Schneider Electric’s solutions integrate seamlessly with the digital ecosystem, enabling industries to adapt quickly to evolving market conditions and technological breakthroughs.

Amid significant industry challenges—including intense competition, rapid technological change, escalating energy costs, strict environmental regulations, and the need for a resilient supply chain—Schneider Electric presents its EcoStruxure Automation Expert, a platform built on an open, software-defined framework. This system harnesses AI and digital technologies to boost engineering and operational efficiency through its modular, adaptable design, and facilitates rapid response to market shifts. At its Hannover Messe booth (Hall 11, Booth C52), visitors will experience a live demonstration of a circular manufacturing campus in the food and beverage sector, illustrating how Schneider Electric’s solutions connect diverse ecosystems and drive industrial innovation.

Barbara Frei, Executive Vice President of Industrial Automation at Schneider Electric, emphasized the strategic importance of blending IT and OT. “Embracing innovation in automation is essential for industries to be adaptable and competitive at the rate of change required today. By integrating next-generation information and operational technology through open, software-defined automation, we empower our customers to achieve performance levels that closed systems simply cannot match.” She also highlighted the flexibility of the UAO.org standard, which supports integration with third-party software and hardware, enabling a versatile ecosystem that has now grown to include over 100 members.

Building on the success of EcoStruxure Automation Expert, Schneider Electric is launching the EcoStruxure Automation Expert Platform, a unified environment that streamlines the management of control applications such as Control Logic, Motion, HMI, Safety, and Simulation. The platform supports both continuous and discrete processes, allowing multiple users to collaborate simultaneously across various programming environments. A key feature of the platform is Automation Copilot, a generative AI assistant developed in partnership with Microsoft, which assists engineers in creating validated code and generating applications rapidly. Additional applications will roll out later this year.

Schneider Electric will also demonstrate several cutting-edge innovations at its booth. These include a next-generation motion system featuring the Modicon M660 Industrial PC controller and Modicon Edge I/O NTS, showcased in collaboration with Meurer Verpackungssysteme GmbH on a paper banding machine that champions sustainable packaging. Enhanced visual inspection solutions, designed to simplify quality control using AI-driven cameras, and the TeSys Deca Advanced with SNAP IN technology, which revolutionizes motor control efficiency, will also be on display. Additionally, the new Harmony XVB7 Tower Lights promise up to 40% improved energy efficiency and significantly reduced installation time, while the Galaxy VXL UPS offers high-density power protection for critical infrastructure, making it ideal for AI-ready data centers and manufacturing sites. An innovative demonstrator for data-driven oat milk production, developed with Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen Lippe (OWL) University, further underscores Schneider Electric’s commitment to integrating AI into food production processes.
