New COWI–ISS Partnership Consolidates Internal Services Across 44 Offices Worldwide

(IN BRIEF) COWI has signed a global agreement with ISS to become its single supplier of internal services, replacing over 200 different providers. Covering ten service areas, including cleaning, catering, maintenance, and security, the partnership will extend across 44 offices in 11 countries, while reception and site management will remain in-house. According to Senior Vice President Marie-Louise Christiansen Borly, the move will reduce complexity, improve efficiency, and provide more sustainable and digitally supported workplace services for employees. The new arrangement will come into effect in Europe in February 2026 and expand globally in April 2026.

(PRESS RELEASE) KONGENS LYNGBY, 29-Aug-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — COWI has taken a major step toward simplifying and strengthening its workplace operations by selecting ISS as its sole global supplier of internal services. The partnership will cover ten key service areas across 44 offices in 11 countries, replacing the more than 200 providers COWI has previously relied upon.

The new arrangement brings together essential services such as cleaning, catering, internal support, waste handling, facility maintenance, and security under one coordinated contract. Reception and site management functions will remain under COWI’s direct control, while ISS assumes responsibility for ensuring consistency, efficiency, and sustainability across the company’s international offices.

Marie-Louise Christiansen Borly, Senior Vice President of Group Sustainability, Procurement and Workplace at COWI, highlighted the advantages of this streamlined approach: “Working with a single partner enables us to reduce complexity, embrace more advanced digital tools, and deliver an improved service experience for our employees worldwide. With ISS, we can ensure that our workplaces not only operate more efficiently but also align more closely with our sustainability goals.”

The contract marks a significant change in how COWI manages its internal services, creating a unified standard of support for staff across all regions. By consolidating these functions with ISS, the company expects to strengthen its operational resilience and enhance its ability to provide high-quality services that meet the diverse needs of its global workforce.

Implementation of the agreement will begin in Europe on 1 February 2026, followed by an international rollout on 1 April 2026.
