(IN BRIEF) ANDRITZ has been awarded a contract by Guangxi Botare Yuantrove Paper to supply a modern lime kiln plant for a new pulp mill in Guigang City, China, with start-up planned for the second quarter of 2026. The system will include a 380 t/d lime kiln and LimeDry lime mud filtration technology, designed to reduce energy consumption, lower emissions, and ensure reliable operation. The order highlights ANDRITZ’s strong position in delivering environmentally advanced pulp mill technologies and supports Guangxi Botare Yuantrove Paper’s investment in efficient and sustainable production.

(PRESS RELEASE) GRAZ, 16-Dec-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — International technology group ANDRITZ has secured a new contract from Guangxi Botare Yuantrove Paper to deliver an advanced lime kiln plant for the company’s upcoming pulp mill located in Yugui Industrial Park, Guigang City, China. The new installation forms a key component of the mill’s chemical recovery system, with start-up scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.

The supplied lime kiln will be engineered to deliver high operational efficiency while minimizing environmental impact. With a production capacity of 380 tonnes per day of burnt lime, the system is designed to combine low energy consumption, reduced emissions, and high availability, supporting stable operations and optimized lifecycle costs for the pulp mill.

As part of the scope, ANDRITZ will also provide its LimeDry lime mud filtration technology. The system is designed to achieve high dry solids content and efficient washing performance, contributing to lower heat demand in the kiln process. In addition, the solution helps reduce total reduced sulfur (TRS) emissions in flue gases, supporting cleaner operation and compliance with increasingly stringent environmental standards.

Guangxi Botare Yuantrove Paper selected ANDRITZ based on the technical robustness of the proposed concept and the company’s extensive international experience in pulp mill technologies. The project reinforces ANDRITZ’s role as a global supplier of advanced, environmentally focused solutions for the pulp and paper industry.

The financial value of the order has not been disclosed and will be recorded in ANDRITZ’s order intake for the first quarter of 2025.

Guangxi Botare Yuantrove Paper operates under the Zhihu Group, a leading Chinese daily care brand, and is active in pulp and tissue manufacturing. The new pulp mill project reflects the group’s investment in modern production facilities aligned with efficiency and sustainability objectives.
