Neumann Bygg strengthens Oslo region presence with eco-friendly Sarpsborg hub for STARK Group

(IN BRIEF) STARK Group has strengthened its Norwegian operations with the opening of a flagship branch in Sarpsborg, managed by Neumann Bygg. The 6,300 m² facility is the company’s 20th outlet in Norway and its third in the Oslo region, uniting Neumann’s broad range of building products with Treprodukter Øst’s mouldings expertise. Serving as a central hub for construction professionals in Eastern Norway, the branch also represents a milestone in sustainable building practices, featuring a solar rooftop system with 1,480 panels capable of generating 700,000 kWh annually. With BREEAM certification targeted for 2026, the project reflects STARK Group’s growth ambitions in metropolitan areas and its wider commitment to achieving SBTi-approved net zero climate goals by 2050.

(PRESS RELEASE) FREDERIKSBERG, 25-Sep-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — STARK Group is deepening its roots in Norway with the launch of a purpose-built flagship branch in Sarpsborg, located just south of Oslo. Operated by its Norwegian subsidiary, Neumann Bygg, the new facility becomes the company’s 20th branch nationwide and its third in the rapidly developing Eastern Norway region.

This expansion marks a significant step in Neumann Bygg’s broader strategy to establish a stronger presence in the Oslo area, a region experiencing increasing demand for building solutions. The Sarpsborg branch adds to the company’s growing network of outlets serving professionals in and around the capital and reflects STARK Group’s commitment to long-term growth in metropolitan hubs.

Spanning 6,300 square metres, the facility brings together Neumann’s comprehensive product portfolio with the specialist skills of Treprodukter Øst, the mouldings manufacturer acquired in 2022. By merging production, storage, and sales within a single location, the branch is positioned as a central point of support for builders across Eastern Norway, offering efficiency and expertise under one roof.

The branch also sets new standards in sustainability, designed with features that support both environmental performance and operational efficiency. A rooftop solar installation of 1,480 panels, with an output capacity of 800 kWp, is projected to generate roughly 700,000 kWh each year—sufficient to exceed the facility’s entire energy requirements. The building is on course to secure BREEAM certification by 2026, underscoring the company’s ambition to create environmentally responsible infrastructure.

Through this investment, STARK Group continues to advance towards its climate goals, which have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). With a clear trajectory to achieve net zero emissions by 2050, the Group is combining commercial growth with a strong sustainability agenda.
