(PRESS RELEASE) MUNICH, 13-Feb-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has signed an agreement to acquire the Flooring Business of Hamberger Industriewerke GmbH. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals, and will serve as a new platform investment within Mutares’ Goods & Services segment.

The business is a leading German manufacturer of parquet and hard floor coverings, marketed primarily under the well-established HARO brand. With production facilities in Germany and Bulgaria, the company operates two highly automated manufacturing sites and maintains a global sales presence spanning more than 70 countries.

Employing over 700 people, the Flooring Business produces a broad portfolio that includes parquet, laminate flooring, design flooring, sports flooring and acoustic panels. Through advanced production technologies and a high degree of automation, the company generates annual revenues of approximately EUR 150 million.

Established in 1866, the business benefits from a long-standing heritage and a strong market position in Germany’s parquet segment. Its customer base includes specialty retailers as well as DIY and hardware chains, supported by durable commercial relationships. The company’s European footprint, combined with growing momentum in Asian markets, provides a foundation for further expansion.

Johannes Laumann, CIO of Mutares, highlighted the strategic importance of the acquisition, describing it as an opportunity to integrate Germany’s leading parquet manufacturer and a globally recognised premium brand into the Mutares portfolio. He emphasised the business’s modern production capabilities and defined roadmap for value creation, noting the potential to reinforce core markets while accelerating growth, particularly in Asia.

With this acquisition, Mutares continues to expand its Goods & Services segment, positioning the Flooring Business as a cornerstone platform for operational enhancement and international growth initiatives.
