Kapsch TrafficCom Revises 2025 26 Outlook Amid Global Tolling Market Slowdown and Project Delays

(IN BRIEF) Kapsch TrafficCom has lowered its financial outlook for 2025/26 after preliminary nine-month results showed weaker-than-expected revenue and EBIT, driven by a significant downturn in the global tolling market and customer-related project delays. The company now forecasts full-year revenue of roughly €420 million and EBIT of about €7 million, compared with earlier guidance of €450 million and €25 million respectively. Although order intake remains solid, associated revenues are expected to be recognised mainly from 2026/27 onward, prompting the company to focus on cost adjustments to manage the near-term impact.

(PRESS RELEASE) VIENNA, 17-Feb-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Kapsch TrafficCom AG has revised its financial outlook for the 2025/26 fiscal year following a review of preliminary results for the first three quarters, indicating that both revenue and operating performance are expected to fall below earlier projections.

Based on current estimates, the company anticipates generating approximately €307 million in revenue and around €12 million in earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) for the first nine months of the fiscal year. The EBIT figure includes a positive one-off contribution of roughly €23 million recorded in the first quarter.

The adjustment reflects a pronounced and unexpected slowdown in the global tolling market, combined with project-related delays linked to customers that have affected both project launches and execution timelines. While order intake has remained comparatively strong over the past ten months, these contracts are now expected to translate into revenue primarily in the 2026/27 fiscal year and beyond, shifting the timing of anticipated earnings contributions.

As a result, the Management Board has updated its full-year forecast and now expects total revenue of about €420 million, compared with the previously projected €450 million. EBIT is forecast to reach approximately €7 million, down from the earlier expectation of around €25 million.

In response to the changed market environment, Kapsch TrafficCom is continuing to implement cost-adjustment measures, although the full financial impact of these initiatives is expected to materialise in the next fiscal year.
