The agreement, signed in Baghdad by Iraq’s Defence Minister Mr. Thabet al-Abbassi and French Ambassador Patrick Durel, reflects Iraq’s commitment to enhancing its operational capabilities across various mission types, including counter-terrorism, special operations, tactical transport, and combat search and rescue.

The new H225M helicopters will replace the aging fleet of Mi-17s, providing advanced functionality and versatility.
