(IN BRIEF) HENSOLDT is expanding its electromobility infrastructure across Germany, increasing the total number of electric vehicle charging points at its sites to 102. New and upgraded charging facilities in Oberkochen and Fürstenfeldbruck support rising employee demand and form a key element of the company’s sustainability strategy. With charging powered entirely by renewable energy and usage steadily increasing since 2021, the initiative contributes to reducing Scope 3 emissions linked to commuting and business travel, while embedding electric mobility more firmly into everyday operations at HENSOLDT.

(PRESS RELEASE) TAUFKIRCHEN, 27-Jan-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — HENSOLDT is continuing to expand its electromobility initiatives as part of its broader sustainability strategy, further strengthening the charging infrastructure available to employees across its German sites. With the recent activation of 14 additional charging points at the Oberkochen campus and the conversion of 19 existing charging points in Fürstenfeldbruck, the company now operates a total of 102 electric vehicle charging points nationwide.

The expanded charging network spans HENSOLDT locations in Ulm, Immenstaad, Taufkirchen, Aalen, Oberkochen, Fürstenfeldbruck and Kiel, reflecting a systematic approach to supporting the growing demand for electric mobility. By continuously adapting and enlarging its charging infrastructure, HENSOLDT aims to reduce emissions while promoting more sustainable mobility options within the company and in the daily routines of its workforce.

Electromobility plays a central role in HENSOLDT’s efforts to lower greenhouse gas emissions. Since 2024, the company has been recording emissions across its entire value chain, including so-called Scope 3 emissions such as those generated by business travel and employee commuting. The expansion of electric vehicle charging facilities is viewed as a key lever for reducing these indirect emissions over the long term.

Usage data illustrates the growing acceptance of electric mobility among employees. Since the first charging stations were installed in 2021, electricity consumption at HENSOLDT charging points has increased steadily, rising from approximately 30 megawatt-hours to around 315 megawatt-hours in 2025. This sustained growth highlights the increasing adoption of electric vehicles within the organisation and supports the company’s long-term sustainability objectives.

All charging stations at HENSOLDT sites are powered exclusively by industrial electricity generated from 100% renewable energy sources. This ensures that employees benefit from a low-emission charging option that complements home charging and public infrastructure, while reinforcing the company’s commitment to environmentally responsible operations.

The continued expansion of charging facilities demonstrates that electromobility has become an integral part of everyday working life at HENSOLDT. The company actively encourages the transition to electric vehicles and recognises the contribution of employees who are helping to reduce emissions through their mobility choices.
