(PRESS RELEASE) BRUSSELS, 3-Sep-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — The Executive Board of ETNO, Europe’s leading telecom association, has announced the departure of Director General Lise Fuhr, who will step down in fall 2024 to assume the role of CEO at GÉANT, an organization focused on European research and education networks.

During her nine-year tenure, Fuhr played a pivotal role in guiding ETNO through two European Commission mandates, bolstering the association’s influence in policy, advocacy, and communications. Under her leadership, ETNO became a prominent voice in Europe’s telecom sector, earning recognition for its effective representation and strategic impact on international telecommunications policy.
