Elmos Showcases Advanced Semiconductor Technologies for Smarter, Safer, and More Efficient Vehicles at CES 2026

Elmos At CES 2026

(IN BRIEF) Elmos Semiconductor SE will present an extensive lineup of new semiconductor technologies at CES 2026, demonstrating how its innovations enhance vehicle efficiency, safety, comfort, sensing, and cybersecurity. Key exhibits include thermal management systems that improve EV range, advanced HVAC airflow control, Brake-by-Wire solutions with high-precision pressure sensing, and smart eFuse systems for safer power distribution. Elmos will also showcase its next-generation ultrasonic sensing technologies, including near-field object detection and AI-enhanced grid mapping for better object recognition. Its lighting portfolio features dynamic OLED rear lights, adaptive RGB lighting systems, and interior glass-roof illumination. Environmental sensing will be highlighted through the E527.06 SoC for rain and light detection, demonstrated in a controlled rain-light tunnel. Rounding out the display is Elmos’ second-generation Quantum Random Number Generator, which provides true quantum-based randomness for secure automotive communication. Together, these technologies underscore Elmos’ growing role in enabling smarter, safer, and more efficient mobility solutions.

(PRESS RELEASE) LEVERKUSEN, 2-Dec-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Elmos Semiconductor SE (FSE: ELG) will present a wide range of cutting-edge semiconductor solutions at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, running from January 6 to 9. The company will demonstrate how its IC technologies are shaping the next generation of intelligent, safe, and energy-efficient vehicles. A series of interactive demonstrators will bring to life Elmos’ latest advancements across thermal management, safety, comfort, sensor technology, and cybersecurity.

Among the key highlights is the Thermal Management demonstrator, designed to show how Elmos’ intelligent motor-control ICs operate pumps, valves, and flow sensors to optimize overall thermal efficiency in electric vehicles. By intelligently controlling these components, the system significantly boosts vehicle range and energy efficiency. This approach is also applied to interior comfort: the Air Flow / HVAC demonstrator integrates the E533.06 BLDC controller, E523.62/63 actuator driver, and the E703.15 ultrasonic flow sensor to deliver precise, quiet, and energy-efficient air distribution in the cabin.

Vehicle safety and system reliability are central themes at Elmos’ booth. The Brake-by-Wire demonstrator illustrates how the E520.47 dual-bridge sensor signal processor measures brake pressure with high precision, enabling faster and safer braking responses. Meanwhile, the Smart Electronic eFuse demonstrator showcases how intelligent fuse technologies strengthen power distribution in zonal vehicle architectures through real-time current monitoring and adaptable load control, increasing system resilience and safety.

Elmos will also emphasize its leadership in ultrasonic technology with the Ultrasonic Near-Field Ranging demonstrator, capable of detecting objects as close as seven centimeters—making it ideal for automated parking and low-speed maneuvering. Enhanced by an AI mapping kit, sensor data from the E521.44 and E524.20 is processed with higher accuracy to improve height differentiation and object recognition. Elmos will also display a ready-to-install ultrasonic sensor kit designed to let users experience the new system directly in their own vehicles.

Lighting innovation forms another major part of the exhibition. The OLED Rear Light demonstrator features ultra-thin, highly energy-efficient rear lighting elements with dynamic animation capabilities. The Dynamic RGB LED Light Bar showcases visual communication through adaptive lighting sequences, and the Dynamic Glass Roof Light introduces new levels of interior personalization by generating atmospheres through adjustable lighting moods.

Elmos will also highlight its advanced environmental sensing with the compact E527.06 SoC sensor, engineered to reliably detect rain and darkness. Its modular software architecture enables sophisticated analysis of sensor data for optimized control of wipers and lighting systems. The company’s rain-light tunnel demonstrator shows a real-world application, where an autonomous rear wiper responds dynamically to rain levels, fog, and ambient light conditions.

A further standout innovation is Elmos’ patented Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG), which uses quantum photoemission inside the chip to generate truly random numbers of the highest cryptographic quality. The second-generation QRNG will be showcased in a compact USB stick format, producing physically random numbers in real time with live visualization, including NIST-standard online verification. With an integrated entropy source and minimal power consumption, the QRNG demonstrates how Elmos is supporting secure and future-ready vehicle communication and cybersecurity architectures.
