Her appointment was confirmed during the Board meeting held on 28 October 2025, marking a new chapter in CAL&F’s leadership. She succeeds Jean-Jacques Calcat, who has chaired the company since 2018.

The Board expressed its deep gratitude to Jean-Jacques Calcat for his unwavering commitment and dedicated service over the past seven years. A graduate of the École Supérieure de Commerce et d’Administration des Entreprises (ESCAE) in Clermont-Ferrand, Chantal Debost began her career in 1985 as a financial analyst in the Financial Commitments and Risks Department at LOCAFRANCE, a subsidiary of SUEZ. She later served as a sales representative between 1986 and 1992 before taking on leadership roles at BDG INVEST and CARTONA PACK from 1992 to 2011. Since 2011, she has managed SARL CHAMAX.

Chantal Debost has a long-standing history within the Crédit Agricole Group. She has been actively involved in governance roles since 2014 and has served as Chairwoman of the Crédit Agricole Centre France Regional Bank since March 2021. Since October 2023, she has also held positions as a Director and member of the Appointments Committee at Crédit Agricole Leasing & Factoring, further deepening her understanding of the company’s activities and strategic priorities.
