Crédit Agricole Appoints Quentin Guerineau as Chief Sustainability and Impact Officer to Strengthen Transition Strategy

(IN BRIEF) Crédit Agricole S.A. has appointed Quentin Guerineau as Chief Sustainability and Impact Officer effective March 2, 2026. Reporting to Deputy General Manager Grégory Erphelin, he will join the Management Committee and oversee the Group’s sustainability and impact initiatives as part of its broader transformation strategy. Guerineau brings extensive experience from senior roles in the French Treasury Department and several ministerial cabinets, including positions related to industry, energy transition, agriculture and environmental policy. His background in public administration and sustainability-related policy areas is expected to support Crédit Agricole S.A.’s long-term environmental and social objectives.

(PRESS RELEASE) MONTROUGE, 25-Feb-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Crédit Agricole S.A. has appointed Quentin Guerineau as Chief Sustainability and Impact Officer, effective March 2, 2026. In this role, he will report to Grégory Erphelin, Deputy General Manager responsible for Transformation, Human Resources and Transitions, and will become a member of Crédit Agricole S.A.’s Management Committee.

Guerineau will be responsible for leading the Group’s sustainability and impact strategy, supporting Crédit Agricole S.A.’s broader transformation and transition initiatives. His appointment strengthens the organization’s focus on environmental and societal priorities and reinforces the integration of sustainability considerations across the Group’s activities.

Quentin Guerineau began his professional career in 2016 at the French Treasury Department, where he served as Deputy Head of Bureau with responsibilities initially focused on housing policy and later on insurance companies and intermediaries. In 2021, he became Advisor for Industry 4.0, Europe, Territories and Attractiveness to the Minister Delegate for Industry.

He returned to the Treasury Department’s Executive Management in 2022 as Head of the Insurance Companies and Intermediaries Bureau before moving in 2023 to the Ministry for the Energy Transition, where he served as Deputy Director of the Minister’s Cabinet. In early 2024, he was appointed Director of the Cabinet to the Minister Delegate for Agriculture and Food Sovereignty.

From autumn 2024 through the end of 2025, Guerineau served as Director of the Cabinet to the Minister for Environmental Transition, further strengthening his experience in public policy related to sustainability and environmental transformation.

Guerineau is a senior engineer in the Corps des Ingénieurs des Ponts, des Eaux et des Forêts and is a graduate of École Polytechnique.
