Tuominen brings over 20 years of experience in senior communications roles at Stockmann, Aktia, and Caruna, where she drove corporate strategy roll-outs, brand overhauls, and culture shifts, with a strong emphasis on ESG and stakeholder engagement. Her appointment supports Citycon’s ongoing expansion of sustainable urban development across the Nordic region and the Baltics.

In her new role, Tuominen will spearhead the company’s communications strategy—overseeing external and internal messaging, media relations, and brand stewardship—working directly under CEO Oleg Zaslavsky from Citycon’s Espoo headquarters.

With over two decades of strategic communications expertise spanning real estate, retail, and energy sectors, Tuominen has held senior leadership roles including Director of Communications, CSR and Investor Relations at Stockmann; Director of Brand and Communications at Aktia; and Head of Communications at Caruna. She has led high-profile initiatives in corporate strategy alignment, organizational turnarounds, brand reinventions, and culture change, and is well-versed in stakeholder engagement and ESG matters.
