Bechtle Showcases End to End Industrial Digitalisation Strategy with AI, PLM and OT Security at Hannover Messe 2026

(IN BRIEF) Bechtle Group is expanding its presence at Hannover Messe 2026 with a larger, more integrated showcase of industrial digitalisation solutions. Bringing together multiple business units and partners, the company will demonstrate how technologies such as PLM, AI, digital twins, IIoT, and OT security can be connected across the entire industrial value chain. Highlights include immersive XR experiences using Apple Vision Pro, real-time data processing solutions, cybersecurity demonstrations, and practical use cases like AI-powered quality control and autonomous security systems. The introduction of the Bechtle Index of Sovereignty further underscores the company’s focus on helping organisations maintain control over their digital operations while advancing data-driven decision-making.

(PRESS RELEASE) NECKARSULM, 24-Mar-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Bechtle Group is set to significantly broaden its footprint at Hannover Messe 2026, presenting a comprehensive approach to industrial digitalisation that spans the full value chain. At the upcoming trade fair in April, the company will bring together multiple specialised divisions and technology partners to demonstrate how interconnected digital solutions can transform modern industrial operations.

The expanded exhibition will feature contributions from Bechtle PLM Deutschland, Bechtle Additive Manufacturing Deutschland, Modus Consult, PSB Engineering, Bücker IT-Security, and several of the group’s IT system houses. From a central stand in Hall 17, visitors will be introduced to a broad portfolio covering engineering processes, Industrial Internet of Things applications, manufacturing environments, business integration, and operational technology security. A second presence by Bücker IT-Security in Hall 26 will focus specifically on cybersecurity challenges, showcasing practical scenarios and defence strategies drawn from real industrial environments.

A key theme of Bechtle’s showcase is the role of Product Lifecycle Management in unifying product development. Built around the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, the company’s PLM solutions are designed to connect product data, workflows, and systems throughout every stage of development and production. Demonstrations will highlight AI-assisted engineering, automated design, digital factory concepts, and additive manufacturing. Visitors will also be able to experience immersive product development environments using Apple Vision Pro, enabling interaction with digital twins in a spatial, extended reality setting.

Another focal point will be the integration of IT and operational technology, an area that presents both technical complexity and heightened security risks. Bechtle plans to demonstrate solutions that enable real-time data capture and processing at the edge, supported by industrial-grade hardware and connectivity. Remote access technologies will be showcased alongside security frameworks designed to protect production systems, including live demonstrations of cyberattack scenarios and mitigation strategies.

Beyond infrastructure, the company will also highlight the role of data in driving industrial decision-making. Through the integration of PLM and ERP systems, Bechtle aims to enable consistent data flows across product lifecycles and business processes. A new tool, the Bechtle Index of Sovereignty, will be introduced as a way for organisations to evaluate and strengthen control over their digital operations and critical processes.

The exhibition will also feature a range of practical demonstrations. These include an IoT Demo Cube combining AI-based quality control with connected logistics and secure remote access, an autonomous security robot developed by Swiss start-up Quarero operating over private 5G infrastructure, and a rugged industrial computer designed to function under extreme environmental conditions.

Uwe Burk, Executive Vice President for PLM, Engineering and Manufacturing at Bechtle, emphasized that industrial digitalisation must be approached holistically, with technologies working together across the value chain. He noted that the company’s presence at Hannover Messe will illustrate how PLM can coordinate artificial intelligence, digital twins, secure infrastructure, and enterprise processes into a unified system.
