Bavarian High-Tech Awards Honor Emerging Talents with Groundbreaking Research in AI and Health at TUM University Hospital

Among the awards, the High-Tech Young Investigator Award, carrying a prize of 30,000 euros, was awarded to Dr. Jacqueline Lammert from TUM University Hospital for her pioneering research on integrating AI in women’s health, particularly using large language models to support precision medicine and study risks associated with BRCA gene mutations. The awards ceremony, held at the Munich Residence’s Hercules Hall, also showcased additional honors including the Bavarian Minister President’s High-Tech Award, the Pioneer Award, and the High-Tech Graduate Award for outstanding degrees, highlighting Bavaria’s strategic commitment to fostering innovation through substantial investments and a robust collaboration between science and industry.

(PRESS RELEASE) MUNICH, 13-Apr-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — For the first time, the Bavarian High-Tech Awards have been presented by the Bavarian State Government in conjunction with the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities to honor promising talents and trailblazing researchers. Among the honorees is Dr. Jacqueline Lammert, a renowned oncologist and AI expert who leads the “AI in Women’s Health” research team at TUM University Hospital. Dr. Lammert received the High-Tech Young Investigator Award—valued at 30,000 euros—for her innovative work on integrating large language models into precision medicine. Her research focuses on developing AI decision-making tools in women’s health, as well as investigating risk factors for breast cancer and cardiovascular disease in women with BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations.

The awards ceremony took place in the illustrious Hercules Hall at the Munich Residence.
