AF Gruppen to build Kværnerdammen housing cooperative in Kværnerbyen

OSLO, 17-Nov-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — AF Gruppen has entered into a contract with OBOS Kværnerbyen AS to build Kværnerdammen housing cooperative in Kværnerbyen.

AF Gruppen has entered into a contract with OBOS Kværnerbyen AS to build Kværnerdammen housing cooperative in Kværnerbyen. Kværnerdammen housing cooperative is in a secluded part of Kværnerbyen, and will comprise 89 one- to three-bedroom apartments and 7 town houses approx. 129 square metres in size.

Engineering will start in the 1st quarter of 2017 and construction will commence in April 2017. Planned completion is in the 1st quarter of 2019. The construction of the apartments is subject to sufficient advance sales. The project will be carried out as a turnkey contract with a total value of NOK 211 million, excluding VAT.

AF Gruppen has previously built Dreieskivakvartalet and Kværnerbyen Terrasse, and Kværnerlia Housing Cooperative and Kværnerbakken are currently under construction for OBOS Kværnerbyen. With the inclusion of the Kværnerdammen Housing Cooperative, AF Gruppen is set to deliver more than 800 homes in Kværnerbyen for OBOS.
