Ramboll now employs more than 100 experts with specialised skills in the pharmaceutical industry, which is a 30 percent increase in less than a year.

COPENHAGEN, 27-Jan-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — Last year, when Ramboll reorganised its specialised pharma services into a market-oriented team-based structure, the goal was to deliver integrated design and turnkey solutions for clients in the pharma industry.

The results have exceeded expectations, and now Ramboll’s building division is expanding the pharma area with yet another team, Facility Design, which will be based on the specialised architectural skills that are needed in both product developments as well as in the design of production and laboratory facilities.

– The new team moves us towards our goal to deliver complete solutions and increases our focus on integrated design. By including the architectural service early on in the projects, our deliveries are even stronger in the preliminary phases of the project, e.g. programming, user involvement and conceptual design studies. It is important for us to be able to help our clients develop solid preliminary studies and valid bases for decision, Bjarne J. Rasmussen, Director of Ramboll’s building division, explains.

He adds:

– We are experiencing an increasing demand for quick execution of projects. This entails that we, early on, must be able to make qualified and essential decisions on land use and construction principles, for instance. In these cases the architect plays an essential and coordinating part in testing different solutions that will meet the needs of the client. It has been a goal for us to build an organisation where we as the customer ‘one point of contact’ can advise on all aspects of the project. We have achieved that goal now.

Bjarne J. Rasmussen expects that the pharma department will grow further in 2016.
