(PRESS RELEASE) PARIS, 13-Feb-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Casino and Avia Thévenin Ducrot have announced the extension of their long-standing partnership for an additional three years, further solidifying a relationship that has been in place for nearly two decades. Since its inception, the partnership has enabled Casino to offer a wide range of products, both under the Casino brand and other major labels, specifically tailored to meet the needs of travellers. This collaboration spans 46 motorway service stations, including 39 under the Casino Express banner, and 41 urban or suburban service stations, with 11 operating under the same banner, all situated in the eastern part of France.

The partnership between Casino and Avia Thévenin Ducrot was initially tested in 2006 and officially rolled out in 2018. Over the years, it has been strengthened through renewals in 2014 and 2019, with this third renewal reaffirming both companies’ commitment to offering travellers an ever-evolving and high-quality selection of products, reflecting emerging consumer trends.

As part of this extended partnership, Casino will continue to supply Avia Thévenin Ducrot service stations with a diverse, competitive product range, including a selection of items under the Casino brand and other top brands. The collaboration will also focus on supporting product innovation, particularly in the travel retail sector, while ensuring a robust logistical system that ensures regular, site-specific deliveries tailored to the needs of each location.

In addition, both parties are enhancing their environmental responsibility by optimizing delivery logistics. By adapting delivery schedules to the seasonal and specific demands of each service station, the partnership aims to reduce the number of miles driven by delivery trucks, contributing to more sustainable logistics practices.

Magali Daubinet-Salen, Chief Executive Officer of Casino, Spar, and Vival brands, commented, “The renewal of our partnership with Avia Thévenin Ducrot until 2028 demonstrates the strength and longevity of our relationships with key partners. This partnership reflects our continued commitment to innovation and supporting our partners in their network development, enabling us to better meet consumer needs in the convenience and travel retail sectors.”

Nicolas Ducrot, Chairman of Thévenin & Ducrot Autoroutes, added, “Renewing our contract aligns with our values and commitment to longstanding partnerships. The strength of Casino Group’s strategy to enhance its convenience retail business played a significant role in our decision to extend this contract.”
