Enel Group Champions Just Energy Transition and Climate Action at UN General Assembly and Climate Week

Nicolò Mardegan, Enel’s Head of External Relations, emphasized the company’s commitment to climate and SDG goals, highlighting Enel’s leadership in zero-emission technologies, renewable energy, and electrification.

On September 23rd, Mardegan took part in a roundtable at the UN Global Compact’s Private Sector Forum, discussing the path towards a sustainable future and Enel’s sustainable finance initiatives, which were featured in the Forward Faster Campaign report. Gianni Vittorio Armani, Head of Enel Grids & Innovability, contributed to discussions on EU incentives for clean technology and the role of energy distribution investments in the transition to resilient infrastructure. He also addressed inequality and the challenges of achieving a just energy transition at the Business Commission to Tackle Inequality.
