Performers, poetry slam and the special exhibition “50 Years of AMG”: These are some of the highlights at the Mercedes-Benz Museums on the Long Night of the Museums on 17 March 2018. Plus there is the popular stargazing with Stuttgart’s Astronomical Association, and the big AfterParty@Mercedes-Benz Museum in conjunction with the radio station bigFM and DJ P. The action at the Museum starts at 7 p.m. and goes on until 4 a.m..

STUTTGART, 07-Mar-2018 — /EuropaWire/ — The international performers from the Europa-Park amusement park in Rust will be celebrating their premiere when they appear at the Mercedes-Benz Museum on 17 March 2018. Three times during the Long Night they will be transporting visitors in the Atrium on Level 1 to the exciting world of artistry with their fast-paced, dynamic show (9.15 p.m., 10.15 p.m. and 11.15 p.m.).

It’s time to reach for the stars with the Stuttgart Astronomical Association: weather permitting, the visitors can gaze into the galaxy with a telescope from the roof terrace of the Museum from 7 p.m. to 1:15 a.m.. Or they can simply look out over the Neckar valley and be enchanted by the impressive panorama of the city at night.

160 automotive stars are currently waiting to be discovered in the Mercedes-Benz Museum itself, including the special “50 Years of AMG” with ten series-production and motorsport vehicles plus eight engines from today’s Mercedes-Benz performance brand. The exhibition is open until 2 a.m.. The final lift goes up at 1.15 a.m.. 75-minute guided tours through more than 130 years of automotive history will be held at 7.15 p.m., 7.30 p.m., 8.30 p.m., 9.30 p.m. and 10.30 p.m.. Registration takes place directly at the Museum.

Poetry slam and the longest party of the night

Between 8 and 11.30 p.m. the 3rd “Best of Slam” will be on the agenda. There will be appearances from Germany’s best slam poets, including Jophie Kindler, Nik Salsflausen, and Flori Wintels (Great Hall, Level 1). They will be entertaining the audience with their eloquent creativity.

The longest party of the night will be held from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. in the Gallery on Level 0. bigFM will be getting guests dancing into the early hours with DJ P. For all the night revellers there will be shuttle buses every 20 minutes directly between the Karlsplatz square (departing from 2.20 a.m., last journey at 4.20 a.m.) and the Mercedes-Benz Museum (departure from 2.35 a.m., final journey 4.35 a.m.).

The Mercedes-Benz Museum is open daily from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.. Last admission is at 5 pm.
