Terms and conditions governing your use of EuropaWire (https://news.europawire.eu) and its EU press release distribution and related services (collectively, the “Service”):
1. Use of the Service
A. Responsibility for submitted content
You are solely responsible for the content, accuracy, legality and ownership of all press releases and related PR materials submitted by you to EuropaWire Ltd. (“EuropaWire”) or entered into the Service (“Submitted PR Materials”).
Due to the volume of information processed, EuropaWire does not independently verify the factual accuracy of Submitted PR Materials. All submissions must comply with EuropaWire’s editorial guidelines, which may be updated from time to time.
By submitting PR Materials, you grant EuropaWire Ltd. a worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to reproduce, distribute, display, publish, archive, store and otherwise use such materials in connection with the Service. The licence shall be exclusive or non-exclusive depending on the submission method selected.
You further authorise EuropaWire Ltd. to act as your authorised agent for the purpose of protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights in the Submitted PR Materials, including issuing takedown requests and pursuing legal or administrative remedies where appropriate.
B. Editorial discretion and rights
EuropaWire reserves the right to reject, suspend, edit or remove Submitted PR Materials. Substantive editorial changes will not be made without prior consent, except where required for legal compliance or platform integrity.
EuropaWire may remove content from its own systems but cannot guarantee removal from third-party platforms not controlled by EuropaWire.
EuropaWire retains all rights in editorial enhancements it creates, including summaries, headlines, curated links, FAQs, formatting, selection and arrangement of content. These enhancements constitute original works protected by copyright and related rights.
EuropaWire also asserts rights under applicable EU database protection laws in the selection, coordination and organisation of its press release database.
C. Publication timing
EuropaWire endeavours to distribute Submitted PR Materials promptly. Any inadvertent errors will be corrected upon discovery, and such correction shall constitute EuropaWire’s sole obligation in this regard.
If Submitted PR Materials are not published within thirty (30) days of submission or payment for reasons not solely attributable to EuropaWire, the Service shall be deemed fulfilled with no further obligation.
D. Contact details
All Submitted PR Materials must include accurate and verifiable contact details supplied by the submitter.
E. Distribution and reach
EuropaWire does not guarantee specific placement, prominence or third-party pickup of any press release. Distribution is performed using online dissemination methods intended to facilitate discovery by interested third parties.
Where content is submitted on an exclusive basis, you warrant that the material has not been and will not be provided to other distribution services prior to publication on EuropaWire.
F. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including through unauthorised access, automated scraping, reverse engineering or incorporation into derivative services without prior written consent.
2. Suspension and Termination
EuropaWire may suspend or terminate access to the Service at its discretion, particularly in cases of material breach, non-payment or misuse. Such action shall not give rise to liability where legally permissible.
3. Billing
All fees are payable in accordance with the pricing in effect at the time of purchase. Fees are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.
Fees exclude applicable taxes, which remain your responsibility. Billing disputes must be submitted in writing within sixty (60) days.
EuropaWire uses third-party payment processors and does not store payment card data.
4. Warranties and Limitation of Liability
You warrant that you have all necessary rights and permissions to submit PR Materials and that such materials do not infringe third-party rights or applicable laws, nor contain malicious code.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, EuropaWire disclaims all warranties, express or implied.
EuropaWire’s total liability shall be limited to direct damages not exceeding the amounts paid by you during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. EuropaWire shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or economic losses.
5. Indemnification
Each party agrees to indemnify the other against third-party claims arising from breach of these Terms or infringement of rights, subject to prompt notice and reasonable cooperation.
EuropaWire may, at its option, modify or terminate the Service in response to infringement claims, with proportionate refunds where applicable.
