In this new campaign, Bavaria celebrates the sensation of drinking beer together: no matter who you are or where you come from, you are welcome. With this message and beer as social glue, the family brewery from Brabant brings people together. Today, the new campaign ‘Welcome to the Family’ kicks off in the Netherlands.
The new campaign shapes the image of Bavaria as the biggest independent family brewery in the world, that has a passion for beer and a brew tradition that goes back 300 years. The Bavaria staff counts 28 members of the Swinkels family, but all of the more than 1,000 co-workers feel as they are part of the brewery family. The main message is the most important reason to drink Bavaria beer: to share spontaneous, fun and mostly warm moments together. With this campaign, Bavaria says goodbye to the 30-year-old Dutch pay-off ‘Zo, nu eerst een Bavaria’ and starts communicating using the strength of the family company. “Beer unites and brings people together. Craft beer, brewed by family traditions
All Bavaria beers are brewed with passion to the family traditions that goes back centuries and consist of natural ingredients. Bavaria is the only brewery in the Netherlands that uses pure, natural mineral water of their own spring and the barley malt is derived from their own malting plant. Bavaria is a very easy going and pure pilsner.

As an independent family-owned brewery, Bavaria occupies a unique position on the international market. The company has been managed by the Swinkels family for no fewer than seven generations. Since the company has the disposal of its own two malting plants, the entire brewing process is completed under own management. Bavaria is the only brewer in the Netherlands that brews its beer using purified natural mineral water from private springs. This at the same characterises the Bavaria philosophy: the invariably high quality of its beers. The Bavaria brewery is firmly rooted in the Dutch province of Brabant, with 65% of its annual production volume of 6 million hectolitres of beer intended for exports. Today no fewer than 120 countries enjoy Bavaria beer.
