(PRESS RELEASE) VIENNA/HAMBURG, 15-Sep-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Wiener Börse AG has acquired an80% majority stake in North Data GmbH, expanding its data and information activities beyond traditional exchange market data and strengthening its position as a European infrastructure and data services provider.

Hamburg-based North Data operates a company information search platform that aggregates and consolidates data on approximately 100 million private companies across 26 European countries. Its database draws on more than 160 public sources, including national company registers and European Union databases.

The acquisition allows Wiener Börse to broaden its information services while further diversifying its business within areas closely connected to its core activities. By adding extensive private-company information to its established market-data capabilities, the exchange operator is extending its role in providing transparent and structured business information.

Christoph Boschan, CEO of Wiener Börse AG, said functioning markets depend on access to transparent and reliable information. He said the investment in North Data extends that principle beyond exchange market data by improving access to company information across Europe, while also strengthening Wiener Börse’s strategic positioning and diversifying its revenue streams.

North Data has developed its platform around the consolidation and presentation of publicly available corporate information, allowing users to research companies, financial indicators, ownership relationships and connections between businesses and individuals.

The service is used by a broad range of customers and users, including corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises, agencies, public authorities, journalists and private individuals.

Frank Felix Debatin, founder and CEO of North Data GmbH, said North Data has established itself as an important platform for European company research and that Wiener Börse provides a long-term ownership partner capable of supporting the further development and expansion of the business.

North Data’s standard offering provides access to detailed corporate information, including financial key figures, ownership structures and links between companies.

Its North Data Premium Services provide additional functionality, including more detailed information, enhanced search tools, company dossiers and watch lists.

The company also offers Data Services, which allow customers to access information directly through APIs and data exports, supporting organisations that want to integrate company information into their own systems, analytical tools and workflows.

Wiener Börse said North Data’s existing support for investigative journalism will continue following the acquisition, together with the platform’s broader commitment to providing access to company information.

The existing data services will also be maintained and further developed across North Data’s markets, with both companies aiming to expand the range and depth of information available to users.

Through the transaction, Wiener Börse is extending its data business from exchange-related information into a broader European corporate-information environment, combining market infrastructure expertise with a platform focused on private-company transparency.

The investment also reflects Wiener Börse’s strategy of developing additional services around its established strengths in financial markets, data management and information infrastructure while creating new revenue opportunities.

North Data will continue to develop its platform with Wiener Börse as majority shareholder, with a focus on expanding company research capabilities, strengthening data services and maintaining broad access to structured information on European businesses.
