Webuild (formerly Salini Impregilo) and Murray & Roberts agree to terminate the acquisition agreement for the Australian company Clough Limited

(PRESS RELEASE) MILAN, 5-Dec-2022 — /EuropaWire/ — Webuild SpA, an Italian industrial group specialised in the construction and civil engineering, formerly Salini Impregilo, has announced it will not pursue the acquisition of Clough Limited in Australia. To this extent, the two companies, Webuild and Murray & Roberts, have jointly agreed to terminate the acquisition agreement for the deal and will no longer pursue the Clough acquisition.

Webuild now announces that the parties have jointly determined and agreed that there is no reasonable prospect of that acquisition proceeding through to a successful completion.

The parties have therefore unconditionally agreed to terminate the SPA with immediate effect.

Webuild will continue to look for opportunities for growth, including in the Australian market, in accordance with its previously announced strategies.
