Vodafone announces the appointment of Leanne Wood as Chief Human Resources Officer

LONDON, 31-Oct-2018 — /EuropaWire/ — Vodafone today announced the appointment of Leanne Wood as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective 1 April 2019. Leanne will join the Executive Committee from that date and report to Vodafone Group Chief Executive Nick Read. She succeeds Ronald Schellekens, who is leaving in 2019 to pursue an external opportunity.

Leanne has been the Chief People, Strategy and Corporate Affairs Officer for Burberry Plc since 2015. Prior to that she worked for Diageo Plc for 15 years in a variety of roles, including as their Group HR Director. She has also worked in strategy and finance for Allied Domecq Plc, LEK Consulting and United Distillers Guinness Plc. Leanne holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Master of Arts from the University of Cambridge.
