“It is a great honour for me to be appointed as honorary consul-general of the Kingdom of Norway. Norway and Germany have had reliable business relations for many years. As honorary consul-general, I will work for the further development of good partnership between the two countries with considerable commitment,” Heuchert stated.
The honorary consulate-general of the Kingdom of Norway in Leipzig is responsible for the federal states of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia and Brandenburg. It provides support for Norwegian citizens in all official matters and offers information on Norway to private individuals, institutions and charitable bodies. Especially over the past few years, the number of consular enquiries has risen. In 2015, the consulate dealt with more than 100 enquiries.
