Vienna Stock Exchange: ATX Global Players index will be updated to include PIERER Mobility AG and exclude AGRANA Beteiligungs-AG

(PRESS RELEASE) VIENNA, 16-Sep-2022 — /EuropaWire/ — Wiener Börse AG, the operator of the stock exchanges in Vienna and Prague, has announced that PIERER Mobility AG, Europe’s leading manufacturer of “powered two-wheelers”, will be joining the ATX Global Players Index. At the same time, AGRANA Beteiligungs-AG, a globally operating processor of agricultural raw materials, will be removed from the index. The act follows the application of the index rules, as well as the review of the company’s reports, which triggers the composition of the ATX Global Players index to be adjusted in effect as of Monday, 19 September 2022. In general, the index rules stipulate that more than 20% of revenues must be generated outside Europe. Furthermore, the new composition of the ATX five (inclusion of Andritz, deletion of voestalpine) as well as the new free float factors will enter into force next Monday.

The ATX Global Players consists of Austrian prime market companies that generate more than 20% of their revenues on the world market. Currently there are 15 index members. The sectors most strongly represented are production technology & machinery (26%), mining & metals (21%), chemicals (12%), hardware & equipment (13%) and oil & gas (8%). The maximum index weighting of one constituent is adjusted quarterly to 20%. The index composition is reviewed once a year in September. The index is designed as an investable benchmark. Investors can participate in the index development via financial products. The ATX Global Players is calculated in real time and is based on a quantitative methodology laid down in the index rules.
