Vestas Secures 140 MW Order for Halkirk II Wind Project in Alberta, Canada

(IN BRIEF) Vestas, a global leader in wind energy solutions, has been awarded a 140 MW order to provide wind turbines for the Halkirk II wind project in Alberta, Canada, owned by Capital Power. The order includes 31 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines and encompasses turbine supply, delivery, and commissioning. Additionally, a 10-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement has been included to optimize the project’s performance. (PRESS RELEASE) AARHUS, 16-Aug-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Vestas has received a 140 MW order to power the Halkirk II wind project owned by Capital Power in Alberta, Canada. The order consists of 31 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines.

The order includes supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a 10-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, designed to ensure optimised performance of the asset.
