Construction work has commenced, with the wind farm expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2026, reinforcing the region’s commitment to sustainability and energy independence.

(PRESS RELEASE) HAMBURG, 4-Jun-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Vestas, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, has clinched a substantial 124 MW order for a wind energy project in Telsiai, Lithuania. The order, placed by Utilitas Wind and Latvenergo AS, underscores a significant stride towards enhancing renewable energy capacity in the Baltic region.

Under the agreement, Vestas will supply, deliver, and commission 20 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines for the project. Upon completion, Vestas will continue to support the project’s efficiency and performance throughout its life cycle with an Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.
