University of Twente names dr. Mirjam Bult as the new Vice President of the Executive Board

As of October 2015, dr. Mirjam Bult will be appointed as the new Vice President of the Executive Board of the University of Twente. She will succeed Kees van Ast, whose appointment period as a member of the Board ends by 1 October 2015.

Enschede, Netherlands, 19-5-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — Mirjam Bult is an alumna of the University of Twente. She received her PhD on the topic of public-private partnerships. In addition to her scientific career, Mirjam Bult has extensive experience in the field of higher education. As from 2007, she was Secretary of the 3TU.Federation and therewith responsible for strategy development and coordination of all joint activities in education, research and knowledge transfer. In 2012 she proceeded her career in business.

As Sector Leader Education & Research at KPMG Management Consultants, Bult is currently responsible for the services comprising strategy development, organization design, business process improvement, decision support and financial management within knowledge institutes. For example for the University of Twente Bult successfully led the design and transition of the new Twente’s educational model in the position of Programme Director educational innovations.

She is a member of the KPMG Public Sector management team. Mirjam Bult also is a member of the Scientific Board of PPS Netwerk NL and a member of the Advisory Council Centre of Expertise ‘Tech Your Future.’

The Supervisory Board and the Executive Board of the UT are delighted with the appointment of Mirjam Bult. Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Anton Schaaf, on her appointment: “Mirjam Bult has extensive experience in this field, and has a sound knowledge of education and research, business and governance processes.
