(PRESS RELEASE) LUXEMBOURG, 4-Sep-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Unitex Textile Services LLC (Unitex) and CVC have entered into a strategic partnership designed to support Unitex’s continued growth and long-term development, marking the first outside equity investment in the company’s more than 100-year history.

CVC will invest through its long-duration investment platform, Strategic Opportunities, alongside the Potack family, which will retain a significant ownership stake and continue to lead the business.

The transaction is intended to provide Unitex with additional capital and strategic support as it expands its operational capabilities, commercial initiatives, digital infrastructure, greenfield development and acquisition strategy.

Partnership builds on more than a century of family ownership

Founded in 1922 and headquartered in Elmsford, New York, Unitex is a major provider of outsourced healthcare textile management services across the Northeast United States.

The company provides essential linen rental, laundry processing and textile management services to hospitals, outpatient facilities and nursing homes through a highly automated network of processing facilities.

Unitex currently serves more than 5,000 healthcare facilities across the region.

The company has built its market position around operational scale, route density, customer relationships and the ability to deliver high-volume textile services to healthcare organisations.

The new partnership represents a significant milestone in Unitex’s history, with CVC becoming the company’s first external equity investor.

CVC Strategic Opportunities to support next phase of expansion

Following completion of the transaction, CVC Strategic Opportunities III (StratOps III) will work closely with the Potack family and Unitex’s broader management team.

The company will continue to be led by Chairman Michael Potack, Chief Executive Officer Robert Potack and President David Potack.

The partners plan to pursue growth through continued investment in operational excellence, commercial development, digital capabilities and new facilities.

Unitex will also evaluate strategic acquisitions that could complement its existing network and strengthen its position in healthcare textile management.

The partnership is designed to provide the company with long-term capital while preserving continuity in ownership, leadership and operating culture.

Unitex targets operational, technology and commercial investment

Robert Potack, Chief Executive Officer of Unitex, said the family has spent more than a century building the company around customer service, operational performance and support for healthcare providers.

He said finding an investment partner that shared Unitex’s long-term perspective, values and commitment to employees and customers was an important consideration when evaluating the company’s next phase.

Potack said CVC distinguished itself through the time spent understanding Unitex’s business and culture and that the companies intend to build on the foundation already established.

David Potack, President of Unitex, said the partnership would allow the company to accelerate strategic programmes already under way across operations, technology and customer services.

He added that Unitex intends to continue pursuing organic growth while also considering suitable acquisition opportunities.

CVC highlights healthcare exposure and resilient market position

Matt Turner, Partner at CVC, said CVC Strategic Opportunities focuses on partnering with businesses that combine strong market positions, resilient end markets and attractive long-term growth potential.

He said Unitex fits that profile through its established leadership position in outsourced healthcare textile management in the Northeast United States.

Turner also highlighted the company’s operational performance, long-term customer relationships and organisational culture.

CVC said it has followed the healthcare textile services sector for several years and intends to work with the Potack family and management team to support the company’s continued expansion.
