Timor Telecom and PT Foundation support with laptops the Portuguese School in East Timor

23-7-2013 — /EuropaWire/ — With the supply of computers, Timor Telecom, in partnership with the PT Foundation, supports the creation of a new subject, “Information and Communication Technologies”, at the Portuguese School in East Timor.

Timor Telecom (TT), with the support of the PT Foundation, will offer laptops to schools and universities. Whilst promoting the development of schools, it also ensures that with this contribution the Portuguese School in East Timor will start next year a new subject, “Information and Communication Technologies”. Being one of the first to sign the Protocol with TT, the Portuguese School pioneers the introduction of the new subject.

In order to create a better and stronger relationship with the Timorese youth, a protocol was created for financial aid and also the offer of equipment that schools lack.

Timor Telecom will also install internet circuits in schools and universities in order to allow students to learn and strive for more with the help of information technology.

TT sees strong promises and great potential in the young Timorese and so wants to accompany them and help them achieve their goals with less limitations. With this support, Timor Telecom aims to encourage students to enjoy as much as possible academic life and take advantage of all the learning that the School/University allows them.

With this, TT hopes to be contributing to creating a network of brand ambassadors that, with this approach and support, feel more connected to the company.
