EuropaWire/ — Successful entrepreneurs and company successors who launched their businesses in or after 2012 still have time until 1 August 2017 to enter to win this year’s KfW Entrepreneurs’ Award (“GründerChampions”) which is endowed with a total of EUR 35,000., 11-Jul-2017 — /
KfW Group has been holding this highly regarded competition since 1998 to acknowledge young companies throughout Germany that deserve public recognition for their innovative ideas. The jury is comprised of experienced representatives from KfW Group, politics, business associations, promotional institutions of the federal states and media representatives. They assess all of the business ideas based on their level of innovation and creativity, and also review whether aspects of social responsibility have been incorporated. The jury also considers how environmentally friendly the business is and whether jobs and traineeships have been created or preserved.
Awards are bestowed on one company from each German federal state. All 16 winners receive EUR 1,000 and are invited to the award ceremony in Berlin, which will be held on 12 October 2017. The national winner who will receive another EUR 9,000 will be chosen from among the regional winners and announced at this ceremony. The jury, which consists of experts from the start-up scene, will also award a special prize endowed with EUR 5,000. The guests will vote to choose the winner of the people’s choice award (additional prize money of EUR 5,000) during the award ceremony. In addition to the prize money and the invitation to Berlin, all winners are offered the opportunity to participate in a seminar of “impulse-Akademie” and receive support to have their success story published by a PR agency.
