Kronach. 1-3-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — The design of the Loewe Reference ID television set has won the coveted iF gold award 2013. The television with its minimalist design is a masterpiece of craftsmanship, exclusive materials and high personalisation potential. In terms of technology, the Loewe Reference ID is equal to anything that cutting-edge television technology has to offer – from the highest picture and sound quality right through to individualised access to the Internet and flawless networking. This unique combination has also won over the international jury of the iF awards in its entirety. “This television strikes a wonderful balance between consumer electronics and furniture design. As such, the set becomes an integral part of the home environment. It is difficult to bring a product which differentiates itself so greatly from others onto the market, however, in this case, Loewe has succeeded perfectly in doing just that”, such was the verdict of the international jury. The Loewe Connect ID television set was also awarded with an iF award.

Loewe Reference ID
Whether in 2D or 3D, the luminosity and high picture frequency of the Loewe Reference displays guarantee a picture of reference class. To achieve a rich black and optimised contrast, the Loewe Reference ID is also equipped with a high-quality contrast filter panel. A sophisticated anti-reflection coating technique minimises potential reflections and the colour display is optimised to make it look natural. An automatic contrast system regulates the contrast according to the ambient light, thus guaranteeing a perfect picture in any environment.

It is, however, all a question of tone. For this very reason, the Loewe Reference ID television is equipped with a finely-tuned sound system. With its 160 watts of musical power, it creates an impressive, authentic and natural sound experience. Different sound modes with optimised sound settings refine the TV enjoyment, making it an experience in a class of its own. The automatic speech recognition guarantees optimal speech clarity and the incredible 5.5 litre integrated speaker volume creates an impressive sonority. It goes without saying that the Loewe Reference ID is also equipped with Dolby Digital and an integrated multichannel decoder, as well as AV pre-amplifiers for sound reproduction.

With the optional Reference ID speakers, the new Reference ID becomes the control centre for the entire home entertainment system.

Alongside the basic version, customers can also order versions with individualised technology and design ex works. For example, monochrome LED backlighting, which casts a soft corona of light around the Loewe Reference ID, impressively showcases the TV as a part of the decor.

Loewe Connect ID
The Loewe Connect ID family is available in two technical versions (with or without the integrated DR+ hard disk recorder) and in four different screen sizes (32, 40, 46 and 55-inch) – with twelve different colour combinations and approx. 30 unique set-up options. The choice of Black, White, Silver, Beige, Green or Orange housing colours, and of High Gloss White or High Gloss Black frames, allows the Connect ID to blend just as perfectly into a classically elegant, or an assuredly progressive home environment, and reflect the owner’s personal lifestyle. However, it is not only impressive in terms of design – the equipment inside the Connect ID flat-screen TVs also leaves nothing to be desired. All four screen sizes afford a realistic 3D experience, excellent audio quality and an unlimited multimedia offering with unique apps.

iF gold award
In total 3,011 products were put forward internationally for the design accolade of which 981 received an iF product design award. However, only 50 were awarded with the much-coveted iF gold award. A further 25 iF gold awards were awarded in the categories communication design and packaging. The announcement and presentation of all of the 75 iF gold awards did take place the 22nd of February 2013 at an awards ceremony in Munich.
