The British Safety Council has appointed DOGA HSE Training and Consulting as an exclusive delivery partner for Turkey.
LONDON, 18-5-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — Lynda Armstrong, the British Safety Council’s Chair of Trustees and Omer Ayvaci, Vice President of DOGA Group, have signed an agreement giving the company an exclusive licence to deliver British Safety Council accredited courses and audits that will help Turkish businesses enhance standards of occupational health and safety management.
DOGA HSE Training and Consulting will provide British Safety Council accredited NEBOSH and IOSH training, conduct the British Safety Council’s Five Star Health and Safety Audits and act as its agent to introduce and promote membership within Turkey.
The alliance with DOGA is the first time the British Safety Council has used a partnership model to deliver its products and services.
Richard Evens, Commercial Director at the British Safety Council, said: “The British Safety Council’s vision is that no one should be injured or made ill at work. Our partnership with DOGA should help Turkish businesses enhance standards of occupational health and safety management. DOGA is a leading provider of health and safety training in Turkey and working hand in hand with them will bring our courses, audits and membership to new audiences.
“The Turkish Government recently introduced new laws regulating safety and health in the workplace and ratified important ILO conventions. The British Safety Council and DOGA will provide the other piece of the jigsaw: trained employees and managers, audited management systems and access to advice and information. We look forward to working together.”
Sertac Guven, Managing Director of DOGA HSE Training and Consulting, added: “The British Safety Council is one the leading international organisations promoting good occupational health and safety and DOGA is a very important company in Turkey; I consider our partnership will contribute towards improving health and safety in the country.”
He continued: “There are currently too many work related fatalities in Turkey and with this partnership with the British Safety Council we will be in a strong position to support these companies through training, audit and advice.
“The Turkish Government is developing a stronger regulatory framework with new laws on occupational health and safety and this, along with this partnership with the British Safety Council, will enable us to deliver real improvements to the lives of millions of people.”
