TeamViewer Launches Tia Scripting to Simplify Device Automation Through Natural Language

(IN BRIEF) TeamViewer has introduced Tia Scripting, an AI-based capability in TeamViewer DEX that allows IT teams to generate automation scripts through plain-language instructions. The feature is designed for organisation-specific IT tasks that may not fit predefined templates, including certificate checks, application monitoring, software controls, security remediation, network troubleshooting and device compliance checks. Generated scripts can be reviewed before deployment and reused across a wider device estate.

(PRESS RELEASE) GÖPPINGEN, 8-Jul-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — TeamViewer has launched Tia Scripting, a new artificial intelligence capability within TeamViewer DEX that enables IT teams to create device automation scripts by describing the required task in everyday language.

The tool is designed to make automation more accessible to IT professionals who do not have specialist scripting skills. Users can explain an issue, control requirement or desired outcome, and Tia Scripting generates a tailored script that can be reviewed before being deployed to selected devices or groups.

Unlike automation tools built primarily around standard templates and generic playbooks, Tia Scripting is intended for situations that are specific to an organisation’s own IT environment. This includes individual configuration requirements, internal compliance controls, recurring incidents and operational issues that may not be addressed by off-the-shelf workflows.

IT teams can use the capability for tasks such as checking whether security certificates are installed, confirming that critical applications are active, restricting unauthorised software changes or initiating remediation when a security application has been removed.

The platform can also be used to address recurring connectivity issues linked to a particular network configuration or to automate compliance checks based on an organisation’s device setup.

Scripts created through Tia Scripting can be reused across a company’s device estate. This allows an IT team to apply a tested automation workflow in multiple relevant situations instead of repeatedly resolving the same issue manually.

The launch forms part of TeamViewer’s broader application of AI within its Digital Employee Experience platform. The company is developing DEX to help IT teams retain and reuse operational knowledge, supporting a more proactive approach to endpoint management as organisations oversee increasingly large and diverse device environments.

Sebastian Schrötel, Senior Vice President Product Management at TeamViewer, said that automation needs to reflect the distinct operational realities of each IT environment.

He added that Tia Scripting is designed to help teams develop automation that matches their own requirements without requiring every user to be a scripting specialist, supporting the shift towards more autonomous endpoint management.
