Storm Aviation Expands GO Team Into Global AOG Recovery Coordination Hub for FL Technics Group

The move gives airlines, ACMI providers, lessors and other operators a single point of contact for urgent technical recovery. The GO Team will coordinate resources across FL Technics Group’s global network, which includes more than 100 line maintenance stations, seven base maintenance hangars and spare parts stock in Dubai, Singapore and Vilnius. This structure is designed to improve response times, simplify coordination and provide wider geographical coverage across Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and other regions. Under the new model, one request to the GO Team starts the full recovery process, including technical assessment, engineer mobilisation, tooling, parts logistics, approvals and return-to-service coordination.

The new structure gives aircraft operators a single point of contact for rapid-response technical recovery, backed by the wider FL Technics Group network.

FL Technics Group operates more than 100 line maintenance stations worldwide and seven base maintenance hangars, located in countries including Lithuania, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Indonesia and the Dominican Republic. The group also maintains spare parts stock in Dubai, Singapore and Vilnius.

By combining Storm Aviation’s established GO Team with FL Technics Group’s global maintenance footprint, the model is designed to provide broader geographical coverage, faster response times and simpler coordination for operators facing time-critical technical incidents.

The expanded capability covers regions including Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and beyond. With maintenance resources available across multiple geographies, recovery teams can be deployed closer to grounded aircraft while overall coordination remains centralised through Storm Aviation’s GO Team.

Storm Aviation has supported urgent aircraft recovery operations for 30 years and brings extensive technical and operational experience to its new role as group-wide AOG recovery coordinator.

The expanded model combines Storm Aviation’s rapid-response expertise with FL Technics Group’s engineering resources, tooling, approvals, spare parts access and international maintenance network.

Saulius Bajarunas, Chief Operating Officer of FL Technics Group, said Storm Aviation’s GO Team will act as the lead coordinator for AOG recovery across the group.

Aircraft on Ground situations require operators to return grounded aircraft to service as quickly as possible. These events often involve the coordination of engineers, specialist tooling, spare parts and maintenance approvals across several locations.

Under the new model, a single request to Storm Aviation’s GO Team starts the full recovery process. The team assesses the technical situation, mobilises the required resources, coordinates tooling and parts logistics, and manages the recovery until the aircraft is returned to service.

The approach removes the need for operators to contact multiple teams, submit separate requests or source different partners across regions.

Thomas Buckley, Chief Executive Officer of Storm Aviation, said the new group-wide coordination role marks the next stage in the company’s development.
