(PRESS RELEASE) FREDERIKSBERG, 17-Aug-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — STARK Group has strengthened its presence in the North East of England with the opening of a new purpose-built Jewson branch in Alnwick.

The investment forms part of the Group’s continued development of its UK branch network, which includes consolidating smaller locations into larger, more efficient branches positioned closer to customers.

The new Alnwick branch replaces Jewson’s previous site in the town and has been designed around the needs of local builders and tradespeople.

The branch brings together a broad product range, specialist knowledge and modern facilities in one location, giving customers improved access to the materials and services required for their daily work.

STARK Group said the opening reflects the transformation it continues to drive across its UK business despite a challenging market environment.

The Group’s focus remains on strengthening its local presence and creating more efficient customer solutions.

Søren P. Olesen, Group CEO of STARK Group, said the company continues to invest across its markets in a modern and efficient branch network that strengthens its customer offering.

He said that in some locations this means replacing older branches with larger, purpose-built sites that allow the Group to offer a broader product range and more efficient logistics solutions.

Olesen added that Alnwick is a strong example of how STARK Group is investing close to customers while reinforcing its long-term market position.

The investment in Alnwick forms part of STARK Group’s wider work to strengthen its commercial concepts and improve operational efficiency.

In both the United Kingdom and Germany, the Group is also developing product ranges and distribution networks based on experience gained from the Nordic markets.

Through the new Jewson branch, STARK Group is further enhancing its UK network with a modern facility designed to support local construction professionals, improve access to materials and strengthen the efficiency of its branch operations.
