The Signature CIO Funds are four diversified multi-asset funds based on Standard Chartered’s Chief Investment Office strategies, covering equities, fixed income, commodities, alternatives and cash. (PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 7-Aug-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Standard Chartered has announced plans to offer wealth solutions from Gujarat International Finance Tec-City, known as GIFT City, following in-principle approval from the International Financial Services Centres Authority to distribute Capital Market products.

The approval represents an important step in the Bank’s strategy to broaden access to its global wealth management capabilities through India’s international financial services hub.

Standard Chartered expects to launch its Signature CIO Funds from GIFT City for eligible clients in the coming weeks.

The Bank said additional wealth solutions are expected to follow over time.

The Signature CIO Funds are a suite of four funds designed to give clients access to investment strategies developed by the Bank’s Chief Investment Office.

The funds provide diversified multi-asset exposure across equities, fixed income, commodities, alternatives and cash.

Samir Subberwal, Global Head, Wealth Solutions, Retail Products, Data & Analytics at Standard Chartered, said affluent clients are increasingly seeking internationally diversified portfolios, expert advice and seamless access to investment opportunities across markets.

He said GIFT City provides a strong platform to meet these needs, supported by India’s growing role in global wealth creation and investment flows.

Subberwal said the approval marks an important step in expanding Standard Chartered’s wealth capabilities through GIFT City, beginning with the Signature CIO Funds and followed by a wider range of wealth solutions over time.

He added that, as a leading international wealth manager, Standard Chartered is well positioned to connect clients with global investment opportunities through its network, Chief Investment Office expertise and advisory capabilities.

Since their launch in 2022, the Signature CIO Funds have attracted more than US $5 billion in assets under management.

The funds are available across 12 markets, including Standard Chartered’s Private Banking centres.

Standard Chartered was the first foreign bank to begin operations in GIFT City in 2020.

The Bank currently provides a comprehensive suite of banking services to corporate and institutional clients from the centre.

The latest approval further strengthens Standard Chartered’s ability to serve clients across both banking and wealth management needs through one of the world’s fastest-growing international financial centres.

Through the planned launch of Signature CIO Funds from GIFT City, Standard Chartered is expanding its wealth offering while supporting broader access to international investment solutions for eligible clients.
