Stagecoach Group ranked 82 (2017: 166) in the overall Britain’s Most Admired Companies (BMAC) 2018 survey

PERTH, Scotland, 10-Dec-2018 — /EuropaWire/ — Stagecoach Group has been rated one of Britain’s top three most admired transport companies, according to the longest-running annual survey of corporate reputation in the UK.

The Group achieved a better reputation score than major organisations such as the BBC and the John Lewis Partnership in the overall Britain’s Most Admired Companies (BMAC) 2018 survey.

The transport group, which operates bus and rail services in the UK and North America, was ranked 82 (2017: 166) in the full survey out of around 250 businesses across 25 sectors.

Stagecoach has consistently been rated highly against its transport sector peers in Management Today’s annual review of Britain’s largest public companies and leading employers.

Managed by Echo Research, the peer-review uses responses from board-level representatives, analysts and city commentators to rate organisations against 12 key criteria.

Criteria include quality of management; financial soundness; quality of goods and services; ability to attract, develop and retain top talent; long-term value potential, capacity to innovate; quality of marketing; community and environmental responsibility; use of corporate assets; inspirational leadership; global competitiveness; and corporate governance.

In the 2018 survey, Stagecoach was:

  • third out of all 250 companies for its ability to attract, develop and retain top talent.
  • first in the transport sector on the same measure
  • the top transport company for its capacity to innovate.
  • second in the transport sector for global competitiveness
  • one of the top three transport companies for the quality of products and services, community and environmental responsibility, and corporate governance
