Skanska awarded contract to build replacement high school in Rio Grande City, USA, for USD 52 M, about SEK 350 M

6-11-2012 — /europawire.eu/ — Skanska has signed a contract with the Rio Grande City Consolidated School District to construct a replacement high school located on the northeast side of Rio Grande City, Texas, USA. The contract value is USD 52 M, about SEK 350 M, which will be included in order bookings for Skanska USA Building for the fourth quarter 2012.

Skanska will build the seven-storey building, a 32,700-square-meter project which will include administration, cafeteria, fine arts facilities, classrooms, a career and technology center and gymnasium. This project also includes an athletic complex.

Construction for the project is scheduled to begin November 2012 and is expected to be completed by May 2014.
