Simon Hopes appointed Market Leader for Coutts’ Sports & Entertainment business

London, 05-9-2013 — /EuropaWire/ — Simon Hopes has been appointed as Market Leader for Coutts’ Sports & Entertainment business.  Simon joins the business from NatWest and RBS Stockbrokers, where he was Head of Distribution.  At Coutts, Simon will be responsible for the ongoing development and expansion of Coutts’ wealth management and private banking services for high net worth individuals in this space.  He will be based in London, and will report to Harry Keogh, Managing Director, London One, which comprises the Sports & Entertainment, Professionals, Executives and Landowners client groups.

In his previous role, Simon was responsible for distribution within the Retail Stockbrokers business using a multi-channel approach which comprised branch staff, telephony and digital.  Simon devised the ‘Self Serve’ strategy for the execution-only business which was geared to maximise the opportunities for the business in the post-RDR landscape. Prior to that, Simon spent 13 years working within RBS and NatWest’s Private Banking business in a variety of roles.  Most recently, he was Regional Director for RBS and NatWest Private Banking in the Midlands and South West.  There, Simon led a team in delivering a proactive wealth management service for high net worth and affluent individuals in the UK, achieving the highest client satisfaction rating of the business’s UK regions.

Simon started his career on the Graduate Scheme at HSBC Private Banking, where he spent eight years as a Private Banking Manager, and latterly, as a Senior Private Banking Manager with responsibility for the West End Region and Lottery clients. Simon’s career with RBS started at Drummonds.  Simon studied at Nottingham Trent University.
