SGS issues TAPA FSR Certificates for two TNT locations in São Paulo State, Brazil

GENEVA, 4-9-2014 — /EuropaWire/ — SGS is pleased to announce that it has issued TAPA FSR Certificates for two TNT locations in São Paulo State, Brazil. TNT provides a wide range of transportation and express services around the world.

“Obtaining the TAPA FSR Certification is a key achievement for our Brazil operations strategy,” said Fabiano Fração, Operations & Technology Director for TNT Brazil. “We have been preparing our facilities during the last two years in order to reach this milestone. By enhancing our security standards, we are improving the service offering for our customers.”

The Freight Security Requirements (FSR) set minimum standards for security and industry best practices for facilities storing and handling HVTT (High Value Theft Targeted) assets. They also specify the proper methods for maintaining those standards. TAPA FSR certifications are awarded to individual facilities that meet the standard’s exacting requirements.

“Congratulations and thanks to TNT Brazil for their recent TAPA FSR certifications and commitment to security,” said Dave Wilt, Chairman, Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) The Americas.

“I am pleased to be able to announce this wonderful achievement by TNT in Brazil,” said Jeff Dowson, International Sales Manager, SGS, ”it is great to see TAPA certification spreading to Brazil.”
