SGS expands its cybersecurity footprint in the U.S. by taking over Penumbra Security, Inc.

(PRESS RELEASE) GENEVA, 2-Sep-2022 — /EuropaWire/ — SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has announced the expansion of its cybersecurity footprint in the US market by acquiring Penumbra Security, Inc., a recognized leader providing various types of information security conformance testing to government standards and regulatory compliance for multinational companies. Established in 2011, the acquired entity is headquartered in Clackamas, OR, United States. 

The company is accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Programs for Federal Information Processing Standard test methods (FIPS 140-2/3), testing security requirements for cryptographic modules used by Federal organizations.
