Scuderia Ferrari test driver Marc Gené opened Ferrari Store in Las Rozas, nearby Madrid

Madrid, 29-4-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — There’s a new piece in the jigsaw of Ferrari Stores around the world. Yesterday evening, one was opened in Las Rozas, in the immediate vicinity of the Spanish capital, Madrid within the “Factory” shopping centre. Guest of honour at the ceremony was Scuderia Ferrari test driver Marc Gené.

A very enthusiastic crowd of fans and customers turned up and they were able to try their hand behind the steering wheel of a genuine Ferrari simulator, kitted out with a full motion system, five 180° screens, Dolby surround 7.1 audio system putting out 35000 watts, 10 multiprocessors with a total Ram of 60GB and a control suite to analyse the data.

The Las Rozas Ferrari Store is the first in the world to feature this attraction and throughout the summer, customers will be able to enjoy the unique experience of driving a Formula 1 car. Yesterday, many tried it out, for the added opportunity of testing themselves against a driver who has racked up tens of thousands of miles in a real Formula 1 car. Best of all of them was the young Rubén González Haro and he got the chance to go up against Marc. “The Ferrari Stores really make you feel part of the world of Ferrari,” said the Spanish driver. “Here in Spain, there is an ever growing interest in the Prancing Horse and once again today that proved to be the case.”

The Store was built around the Ferrari Store design concept, which has been developed in collaboration with the renowned Architettura Iosa Ghini studio. It was managed by ARP, Advanced Retail Project, a Ferrari partner company, which established itself as the best choice to represent the excellence of the brand on Spanish soil.
