Schneider Electric Returns as Title Sponsor of Marathon de Paris, Championing Sustainability and Inclusive Athleticism

(IN BRIEF) Schneider Electric is once again taking the lead as the title sponsor of the Marathon de Paris, which will take place on April 13 and attract over 55,000 participants globally, including 6,000 associated with the company. The event features the traditional 26.2-mile route through Paris and underscores Schneider Electric’s commitment to fostering physical activity, inclusivity, and sustainable practices. An integral part of the marathon is the Paris Run for All—a 2.5-mile charity race designed for participants of all skill levels, with proceeds directed to the ANAÉ association to support mobility-improving equipment. Additionally, the company continues its drive toward sustainability, having halved the event’s waste since 2017 and offset all remaining greenhouse gas emissions from its organization since 2019. Laurent Bataille, EVP France Operations at Schneider Electric, emphasized that the event is a celebration of perseverance, performance, and community spirit shared by the company’s employees, customers, and partners.

(PRESS RELEASE) RUEIL-MALMAISON, 11-Apr-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Schneider Electric, a global leader in digital energy management and industrial automation, returns as the title sponsor of the Marathon de Paris. Scheduled for April 13, the event is set to host over 55,000 participants from around the world, including more than 6,000 Schneider Electric customers, partners, and employees. Runners will challenge themselves on the classic 26.2-mile (42.195-km) route through Paris’s most iconic avenues.

As part of its commitment to promoting physical activity and inclusivity, Schneider Electric is proud to support the Paris Run for All for the third consecutive year. Held the day before the marathon, this 2.5-mile (4km) charity race welcomes participants of all abilities and channels proceeds to the ANAÉ association. ANAÉ is dedicated to enhancing mobility by providing equipment such as all-terrain wheelchairs and quadracycles for people in need.

Laurent Bataille, EVP France Operations at Schneider Electric, highlighted the event’s significance:
“Every year, this major event brings together people from all over the world, becoming a showcase for values shared by Schneider Electric: pushing your own limits, performance, team spirit, openness to others, and endurance. We are so proud to also involve our own employees, customers, and partners.”

In addition to championing inclusivity and athletic excellence, Schneider Electric continues to lead in sustainability. Recognized by Time magazine and Statista as the world’s most sustainable company in 2024, the company is actively reducing the environmental impact of the marathon. Since 2017, the event’s waste has been cut in half, and all residual greenhouse gas emissions associated with its organization have been offset since 2019.
