(PRESS RELEASE) BIRMINGHAM, 16-Jan-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — SCC, a Birmingham based global IT company that enables business agility and transformation through innovative managed IT services and solutions, has announced that its subsidiary in France will be collaborating with the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee, the body responsible for planning, organising, financing and delivering the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris in 2024, as an official supporter. The company will demonstrate its expertise by managing the procurement and supply of IT, AV, print and mobile equipment as well as the associated delivery, installation, and maintenance services for one of the most significant sporting events ever organized in France.

Through this strategic collaboration, SCC France will deploy its organizational, technical, and human expertise across the entire lifecycle chain of IT and audiovisual equipment for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games venues to ensure sustainable performance and meet demanding service commitments, and to contribute to making this global event a success. The company is also committed to redistributing the equipment after the event, guaranteeing a second life for the devices and contributing to the committee’s ambitions in terms of digital responsibility and the circular economy.

At the end of the games, SCC will take back the equipment used for the Olympics and Paralympics through one of its subsidiaries, an adapted company employing more than 65% of people with disabilities, and will ensure the return and processing of the equipment for reconditioning or recycling.

This unique collaboration also represents an opportunity for SCC to pursue its transformation initiative by involving its employees, technology partners, and customers. It is a high point in the history of the group, driven by structural values such as team spirit, excellence, surpassing ourselves, and respect for diversity.

Didier LEJEUNE, CEO of SCC France said: “We are proud to be one of the Partners of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee. We will be setting up a system to enable the organisers to create a unique experience.
